A Look Back at July
The last couple months have been a little hit and miss when it comes to the weather, and it left us all wondering when we’d see summer truly arrive. Thankfully, once we moved into July, the sunny weather came with it, and we’ve had plenty of days to enjoy the sunshine.
Our customers definitely didn’t wait to take advantage of this, as we saw plenty of orders for must-have summer accessories to help you relax in style. The best-selling product of the month was our Green Leaf Wine Goblet – a fabulous feature for a spot of family alfresco dining, or for hosting a garden party barbecue with friends. The beautiful green colour is so verdant and bright, and the botanical design just makes you think of tropical jungles or sun-kissed country meadows. A close second in our incredibly popular glassware range was a variety of blue goblets and tumblers, with the refreshing sapphire and turquoise colours calling to mind days by the ocean and cooling sea sprays.
We know our coloured glassware is always a big hit with you lovely lot, so we were very excited to launch a brand new collection of designs just in time for July – and you seemed to love them as much as we do as you snapped up plenty of the Vivaldi wine glasses and highball tumblers in no time!
There’s nothing like a sunny afternoon to put you in the mood to do nothing at all, and our garden furniture helped you to do just that. Plenty of our bistro sets found their way to your outdoor spaces, ready for you to sit and soak up the sunshine all day long. It’s no wonder that our bench pads and garden cushions have been some of our biggest movers in recent weeks, as they’re the perfect accompaniment to your table and chair sets, adding an extra touch of comfort.
To help you beat the warmth indoors, you snapped up lots of our different door stops, which are just the thing to create an open atmosphere between rooms, allowing fresh air to circulate and prevent areas from feeling too hot and stuffy.
I think we would all love to spend each day sitting outside among nature, unwinding with a good book and the peaceful sound of birdsong, but unfortunately, housework doesn’t stop – even for the nice weather. We at Dibor know the struggle of getting your daily chores done in the heat when the sun is shining outside, so we want to help you make these tasks as easy as possible. Our newly-arrived laundry bags flew out the door in July, giving you the chance to air dry your washing on the line – there’s nothing better than laundry dried with the refreshing scent of the outdoors.
July is also the time when schools break up for the long summer break, and lots of you are faced with the job of keeping kids and grandchildren entertained with something fun each day. Our wellington boot planters are so perfect for this, as they give little ones a chance to get outdoors and learn the value of growing your own flowers, and even fruit and veg from seeds. The bold, bright rainbow of colours are a plain favourite with children of all ages.
