June in Review
June has been a little different this year when it comes to the weather, as I’m sure lots of us have noticed that it hasn’t really known what to do with itself. We’ve had some grey mornings and showery spells, but also some sunny afternoons which have filled us all with optimism for the rest of summer to come. Luckily, this hasn’t stopped our lovely customers from making the most of the days where you can, and you’ve definitely had summery dreams in your mind when shopping with us.
Before this really took off though, your attention was diverted at the start of the month with making plans for Father’s Day. The first two weeks saw you searching for the perfect gift to treat your special dads and grandads with something that will really make him happy – and we’re so pleased you found it in our Gifts for Him range!
We at Dibor know that no two dads are alike, and they all have their own hobbies which make him one of a kind, so we wanted to showcase presents for all interests. You snapped up gardening gifts, with our wellington boot planters, bird houses and storage being the most popular for green-fingered dads, whilst barware such as ice buckets, bottle holders and stoppers were your favourite finds to go with his tipple of choice. Of course, our beautiful watch boxes were also a big hit, and we just know that Dad loves a little touch of luxury now and again!
Once Father’s Day was over for another year, we saw the launch of our Summer Sale in mid-June, almost coinciding with the start of the European Championship. (Incidentally, we hope that dads put their home bar gifts to good use at this time!) With this in mind, plenty of you got together to watch the matches and show your support for England, snapping up a few bargains to help you entertain your guests in style. Our garden furniture sets proved popular, along with the must-have accessories like alfresco table runners and napkins, as well as our brand new seat pads and cushions.
With some great deals on our gorgeous glassware, you let the drinks flow in celebration (and sometimes in defeat) – and we’ve also got some brand new designs arriving next month, so do keep your eyes peeled for some new additions to your wine glass and tumbler collection!
